Athletics Administrative Associate, Marketing

GENERAL SUMMARY Assist with efforts to coordinate and implement marketing strategies and activities in an effort to increase student attendance and engagement at athletic events, bring program visibility and awareness, energy, excitement, and school spirit, to attendance at home games.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES Adhere to any and all NCAA, Mid-American Conference and Eastern Michigan University policies, rules, regulations, and operational procedures.

Help plan, develop and evaluate athletics marketing campaigns for student attendance and engagement.

Assist with student promotions and writing game day scripts.

Assist with student music/band arrangements, and spirit squads (cheer and dance teams and mascot) as needed.

Assist with administration of the Eagles Kids Club, Swoop/mascot program, cheerleading and dance programs.

Participate in weekly athletics marketing and athletics operations meetings.

Promote athletic programs through involvement with student organizations and related activities.

Perform related duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS A Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Sports Management, Communications, Business or a related field, is required.

Experience working within an NCAA Division I or II athletics programs is preferred.

Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, is required.

Strong interpersonal skills, high energy and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community are required.

Knowledge of NCAA policies and compliance is preferred.
WORKING CONDITIONS Work is performed under multiple conditions from a typical office environment to outdoor athletics facilities.

Required to work beyond normal office hours, such as weekends, evenings and holidays.
