EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, WHARTON INTERACTIVE
Duties: The Executive Director oversees all business operations, staff and ventures of Wharton Interactive (WI), an initiative focused on developing commercially available interactive learning platforms, simulations and SaaS on a massive scale. Wharton Interactive's mission is to radically transform education by bridging the gap between concept and experience. Wharton Interactive's innovative solutions empower educators to tailor highly engaging, deeply immersive experiences that make the difference between merely covering content and learning how to effectively apply it. Grounded in research and extensive experience, Wharton Interactive's solutions create active learning opportunities. With launching this initiative, The Wharton School aims to be the leader in educational innovation in the 21st Century.
This position is the highest-ranking director in the organization and is responsible for the overall success of the initiative. The ideal candidate is a proven thought leader in the educational technology space, experienced at building organizations from the ground up. A strategist, able to identify emerging opportunities, and ensure that ideas are developed and adopted at scale. This position holds ultimate responsibility for implementing Wharton Interactive's vision, mission and long-term goals.
Qualifications: Master's degree or equivalent experience, 10 or more years of progressive responsibility with personnel and project management, systems integration, and end-user support, preferably in entrepreneurial environment. Demonstrated leadership, diplomacy and relationship building skills. Experience in strategic planning, business development, management and client engagement. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications, and presentation skills. Proven problem-solving, mediation, and negotiation skills. ITSM/ITIL experience a plus. Experience with Salesforce is a plus.
