Advertised Job Summary: The Research Associate position is to lead the implementation of policy, systems, and environmental change strategies within health clinics to increase healthy eating, as a part of the SC SNAP-Ed program. This could include guiding health clinics in establishing farmers markets, gardens, community-clinic linkages, wellness policies, or additional nutrition supports. This position will involve coordinating and carrying out most of the day-to-day activities of the project under the guidance and supervision of the Principal Investigator. In particular, this position will involve identifying health clinics to partner with, conducting needs and readiness assessments, providing technical assistance on strategy implementation, assisting with sustainability planning, and collecting evaluation data. This position will also coordinate with others in the state working with health clinics on nutrition support implementation to avoid duplication of services and create a learning network. This position is grant funded and subject to annual grant funding renewals.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): A master's degree in public health, social work, or related field. Extensive knowledge on policy, systems, and environmental change strategies for healthy eating. Valid drivers license and ability to make in state day trips frequently.
