Posting Summary:
The University of Virginia Information Technology Services is seeking a Budget and Reporting Analyst. Develops summary and detailed monthly financial reports, assists assigned units with timely budget-to-actual tracking; analyzes results; monitors variances; identifies trends; makes recommendations to ITS management. The position also provides assistance in budgeting, financial analysis, and accounting services, including annual budget and multi-year financial planning.

Minimum Experience:

A minimum of two years of experience dealing with budget development/management and analysis.

Strong experience in Excel and other reporting tools.

Preferred Experience:

Experience at U.Va or in higher education performing budget development and reporting.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

1. Demonstrated analytical skills that allow for interpretation of budgetary, financial, and related management information.

2. Spreadsheet software skills to quantify and illustrate routine financial reports, comparisons, impacts, and/or projections.

3. Skill in budget analysis and fiscal management.
