Minimum $55,000 ANNUAL (12 months)

Degree and Area of Specialization:
For Counselor or Social Worker Title: Master's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or other related mental health field
For Psychologist Title: Doctoral degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology
Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:
Required: Minimum of one year experience in a mental health setting.
Preferred: Minimum of two years' experience in a mental health setting working with clients across the LGBTQ spectrum in individual and group modalities.
Strongly preferred experiences of the candidate include:
1) Experience in an interdisciplinary college mental health treatment setting;
2) Experience in brief intervention, mental health crisis assessment;
3) Experinec in group therapy;
4) Experience in consultation and collaboration with campus and community partners and provision of campus-based services/outreach;
5) Experience with electronic health record systems;
6) Demonstrated attentiveness to intersectionality and health disparities;
7) Supervision of trainees;
8 Interest in Behavioral Health consultation to Medical Services providers;
9) Experience participating in quality improvement initiatives; and
10) Experience participating in multidisciplinary teams including medical providers and academic faculty/staff.
License or certificate:
For Counselor, Social Worker and Psychologist titles: License to practice independently in the State of Wisconsin strongly preferred. License to practice independently required within one year of hire.
The mental health provider, under the supervision of Mental Health Services Co-Director or Mental Health Services Associate Director at UHS, will provide clinical services and campus-based programming to students in an integrated facility with a focus on LGTBQ students.
Please note: Start date will be no earlier than the Anticipated Start Date noted, but may be later. The target start date would be in advance of the start of the fall semester. Salary posted is the minimum. Experience will be considered.
