Job description

UK Healthcare is currently seeking an Arts in Healthcare Specialist. This multi-faceted position will provide program and administrative support for all Arts in HealthCare programs, which include scheduling of over 100 performers per year, event, exhibit, performance & program promotion & preparation, as well as tracking & monitoring of operational & ancillary budgets. This position will coordinate events, exhibits & performances, as well as promote the events with internal & external public relations & media entities. In addition, this position will coordinate website maintenance, content and updates, and provide outreach to local & national organizations.

The Arts in Healthcare Specialist will also provide support for the installation of over 200 works of art per year at various UK HealthCare, UK campus & affiliate locations. This includes transport, precise measurements and use of power tools to ensure museum quality standards of exhibition. The Specialist will also supervise an intern and temporary employee, assigning tasks, monitoring and evaluating completion, and providing coaching, feedback & general supervision.

Physical Requirements

Frequent lifting and placement of art work (sometimes in excess of 50lbs). Frequent use of power tools. Precise measuring. Frequently walking 1-3 miles on the medical campus. Occasionally sitting for long periods of time.


9:00 am - 6:00 pm


The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated expertise and knowledge base regarding support of an arts program in a healthcare environment.
