Job description

The University of Kentucky Clinical Research Support Office (CRSO) is currently seeking a Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS) Administrator to serve as a key management role on the CRSO team.

This individual reports directly to the CRSO Executive Director and serves as a liaison between leadership, UK HealthCare IT, Markey Cancer Center, and CTMS end users. The CRSO is working closely with Markey Cancer Center (Markey) to expand the use of Forte's OnCore CTMS to the enterprise.

This person plays a leading role in oversight of CTMS implementation, in collaboration with Markey's CTMS Administrator and the CRSO Executive Director, and ongoing management of CRSO enterprise CTMS use, along with leadership and direct supervision of CRSO CTMS support staff.

This role requires analysis, attention to detail, ongoing evaluation of IT solutions, and oversight of quality and training for CRSO CTMS end users. It requires regular collaboration with the vendor, business teams, and IT teams supporting the infrastructure, databases, and interfaces of the application.

Preferred candidates have experience working in health care or clinical research industry, possess knowledge of the clinical trial lifecycle management process, excellent communication and problem solving skills, and a have technical and project management knowledge sufficient to implement and support an enterprise-level software system.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit for long periods of time utilizing mouse, keyboard, computer, and telephone. Ability to left, push, or pull objects to 50 pounds.


Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm with occasional early or late meetings required

Preferred Education/Experience

Prefer Bachelor's degree plus 4-6 years work experience in the healthcare or clinical trial industry or equivalent combination of education and experience; Demonstrated knowledge regarding research involving human subjects; Research certification expected within 2 years.
Proficiency with Clinical Trial Management Systems (Forte's OnCore CTMS) preferred.
