Responsibilities

Installs, configures, and monitors computer hardware and operating system software for enterprise computing environments and/or departmental computing environments managed by Information Technology Services. Responsible for both physical servers and virtual machines. Responsible for ensuring these systems are operational when needed, performing necessary maintenance and securing the systems.

Administers and maintains applications and services associated with Microsoft technologies, including but not limited to Windows, Active Directory, Exchange, SQL, Skype for Business, SharePoint services, SCCM and O365. Responsible for operation and availability of these services.

Collects and analyzes usage and performance data; diagnoses problems and takes appropriate action anytime, day or night.

Provides technical advice and consultation to ITS staff and the FSU community regarding complex problems with applications.

Shares responsibilities for providing support 24x7 and responding to Help Desk tickets. Other duties as necessary.

Performs duties in compliance with ITS policies, guidelines, and processes pertaining to support requests, work orders, project management, change management, and incident management. Appropriately utilizes associated tools in accordance with ITS standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two years' experience or a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.

Experience in PowerShell scripting

Knowledge and experience with Office 365

Experience working with the latest Windows Server versions

Experience administering Active Directory

Ability to prioritize, organize and perform multiple work assignments simultaneously.

Ability to utilize technical and problem solving skills.

Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Ability to convey technical information to technical and non- technical users.

Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.

Ability to document existing and new processes.

Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, and local laws, ordinances, rules and regulations.

Knowledge of and the ability to interpret and apply related University policies, procedures, principles, and practices.

Knowledge of applicable computer software and operating systems.

Knowledge of standard programming languages, concepts, practices, and procedures within the technology field.

Anticipated Salary Range

Negotiable based upon experience.

Pay Plan

This is an A&P (Administrative and Professional) position.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm

Criminal Background Check
