One postdoctoral position is available immediately in an enzymology laboratory to elucidate the kinetics and dynamics of DNA lesion bypass and base excision repair catalyzed by human enzymes using single molecule Prism-based Total Internal Reflection Fluorescence (TIRF) apparatus.
Doctorate degree in an appropriate field and at least three years of experience working in a research setting.
Background in single molecule TIRF technologies, computer programming, enzyme kinetics, biophysics, and protein purification is preferred. An important criterion for selection will be the ability of the desired individual to pursue independent research in an active multi-disciplinary setting.

This is an OPS/temporary Job.
Soft Money Funded Position
This is a soft money funded position, with renewal based on available funds and the needs of the University.
Criminal Background Check
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check, to include fingerprinting. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
