The Public Relations Coordinator will work with the Senior Manager of Public Relations to develop, implement, and track the effectiveness of WGU’s public relations programs.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Writing articles, releases, and online posts that promote WGU’s brand and degree programs
  • Updating and developing media lists, both print and online
  • Researching opportunities for placement of press releases and articles.
  • Maintaining and updating WGU’s blog
  • Updating public relations areas of the WGU website
  • Working closely with the WGU marketing team to support new degree launches and other marketing initiatives
  • Creating and maintaining reports that track effectiveness of public relations strategies and tactics
  • Coordinating projects such as online contests, graduation public relations, and other special projects as assigned


Skills/Experience:

  • Outstanding writing and editing skills are required. (Please submit two writing samples with application.)
  • Familiarity with social media, including Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.
  • Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite required, with an emphasis on Excel
