Position Summary

Reporting to the Department Chair of Management, the successful candidate will have responsibility for teaching courses and researching topics within the field of strategic management and contributing to service responsibilities. We are open to applicants from all areas of management scholarship with a focus on strategy and all research methodologies. Maintenance of AACSB academic qualifications (Scholarly Academic) is required. The successful candidate is expected to teach courses during the academic year, which may include fall, winter, and/or spring quarters.

Teaching responsibilities include both undergraduate and graduate level courses using traditional, hybrid, and online delivery methods.

Teaching responsibilities may involve day, night, and weekend classes.

Essential Functions

Successful candidate will have responsibility for teaching courses and researching topics within the field of strategic management and contributing to service responsibilities. Successful candidate is expected to teach courses during the academic year, which may include fall, winter, and/or spring quarters. Teaching responsibilities include both undergraduate and graduate level courses using traditional, hybrid, and online delivery methods. The candidate must demonstrate experience commensurate with associate professor rank if applying for associate professor. If candidate is apply for the associate professor rank, tenure will be considered at time of hire.

Required Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate in management or an equivalent field from an AACSB or EQUIS accredited school (ABD will be considered, but must be completed no later than March 31 of the first year with Daniels. Candidate will hold the title of Instructor until completion of the doctoral degree).
  • Current publication record includes high quality research contributions consistent with Academic Qualification standing for AACSB requirements.
  • Evidence of teaching excellence.
  • Established record in research, teaching, and service as appropriate to the level of the applicant, be that assistant or associate professor.


If ABD:

  • Evidence of potential for teaching excellence.
  • Strong English communication skills (written and oral).
  • Demonstrated commitment to the principles of multiculturalism, diversity, and inclusive excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Earned doctorate in management or an equivalent field from an AACSB or EQUIS accredited school
  • Publications in Financial Times Top 50 journals or equivalent.
  • Experience teaching and working with Ph.D. students.

Work Schedule

  • Varied, nights and weekends possible.
