Rhodes College invites applications for an Administrative Assistant II that provides administrative and technical support for the Vice President of Student Life and Dean of Students and three Associate Deans of Student Life. Manages student information in student information software systems (i.e. Banner, Slate, Maxient). Assists with student contacts and record maintenance, Maintains web sites with current information, calendar, and other information. Serve on committees that support Student Life. Serves as the office manager for Student Life to include management of office supply inventory. Processes departmental invoices and payment requests for accounting. Assists with planning meetings and events Supervises student employees. Coordinates the editing of various hardcopy and web-based publications. Responsible for special projects as assigned by the VP of Student Life and Dean of Students.HS Diploma or GED required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum three years professional office administration experience required; proficiency with Microsoft Office required; proficiency with database maintenance and reporting highly preferred. Experience with Banner is preferred. Experience in a college setting, especially in an administrative office is preferred. Ability to work effectively with students and their families, faculty, and staff. Must exhibit professionalism and diplomacy in working effectively with diverse constituencies. Demonstrated ability to organize numerous projects requiring attention to detail and consistently meet deadlines. Strong organizational and technology skills required.
