Electrical Line Worker Academic Program Coordinator #1869 (Revised)

Job description

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching courses by providing systematically planned and delivered instruction, designing and developing curriculum, evaluating student performance, advising students, and instructing day and/or evening courses.  Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills are essential. 

Minumum Requirements: This position requires an associate degree and a  State Electrician's License plus a minimum of  ten (10) years industry related experience.  Preference is given to applicants with at least two years of teaching experience in post-secondary education area. 

Additional Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Preference is given to applicants with teaching experience in post-secondary education.  The candidate should possess an in-depth knowledge and the ability to explain and demonstrate in each of the following skill areas: overhead and underground electrical line construction; National Electrical Safety Code; transmission line and substation architecture and maintenance; bucket truck and knuckle boom operation; and pole climbing techniques and top pole rescue procedures.

Salary: Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
