General Summary: The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Part-time Temporary Staff Associate in the Environmental Leadership Center on the Dahlonega campus. The Environmental Leadership Center (ELC) supports service, research and teaching activities that promote leadership and stewardship in preserving and enhancing the environment. The Administrator for the ELC will assist in coordinating accounts, communications, and partnerships between our five programs: The Water Lab, the Ecological Protection Lab, the Chestatee Restoration Project, UNG Sustainability, and Hurricane Creek Research Site.

Job Duties & Responsibilities: The Saff Associate's duties will be:
  • Accounting for the four budgets of the ELC (including travel, reimbursements, payroll, invoices)
  • Outreach and Organization of events, databases, calendars
  • Web and Facebook development and upkeep
  • Communications including phone calls, letters, e-bulletin boards, publications.


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Must be detailed oriented and have experience with MS Excel, Web Design, or equivalent outreach and organizing skills.
  • Must have an interest and passion for the environment and sustainability and be a people person ready to engage with a diversity of people via phone, e-mail and face to face meetings.


Certifications/Licenses & Minimum Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Three years of related experience required.
  • Work experience in accounting, organizing, communications, or website work preferred.
