Duties: The Director of On Campus Programs will report to the Associate Dean for Constituent Engagement. The Director will be responsible for developing, managing, and implementing all components of the visit experience for prospective students, families, educational partners, and other visitors. The Director will develop and lead a comprehensive plan to deliver a cohesive visit experience that supports and compliments the recruitment goals and objectives of Penn Admissions. The Director is responsible for promoting the breadth and excellence of the undergraduate experience at Penn to campus visitors and will liaise and collaborate with members of the Penn community to offer year-round programming that meets the specialized needs of prospective students, families, educational partners, and other visitors

The Director will work closely with the Admissions Leadership Board, which is representative of the varied work areas of Penn Admissions, to identify and develop innovative on-campus programming that aligns with the messaging, branding and recruitment strategy of Penn Admissions.

The Director will be responsible for the management and professional development of at least 2 staff members as well as helping in the management of student workers and volunteers.

Qualifications: A bachelor's degree is required, a master's degree is preferred plus at least 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in admissions, higher education or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The successful candidate must have experience running a visit or welcome center in a higher ed environment. Must have experience with admissions processes in a higher ed environment. Must have strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. Must have a proven record of positive customer facing experience.
Working knowledge of MS Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) required.
Knowledge of the University of Pennsylvania and its admissions processes desired. Additionally, direct experience with Slate CRM is also strongly preferred.
