Duties: Position located in Kennett Square, no public transportation is available.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Finance and Operations and under the supervision of the Vice Dean of Finance and Administration and with direct accountability to the Department Chairman for service and support, this position will provide business management for the Department of Clinical Studies and the Facilities Division at New Bolton Center. As a critical team member in a decision supporting role, this position will provide budget administration of approximately 200 budgets comprised of departmental funds, gifts, endowments, and grant funds. Provide personnel administration for approximately 50 faculty and academic staff employees, 25 house officers and 40 support staff. Grant management includes all aspects of the process, from proposal submissions, account budgeting, forecasting, monitoring of activity, and monthly reporting through account close out. Position is responsible for all budget and fiscal operations including, yearly budgeting and quarterly forecasting, purchasing and reimbursement functions, General Ledger activity including internal billing and corrections, deposits, Procard and merchant account administration. Position responsible for developing and improving workflows, as well as, enforcement of financial policies and internal controls. Directly supervise four staff positions.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree and 5 to 7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Experience in Penn's financial systems; BEN financials; PennWorks Payroll; Hyperion Planning; Business Objects; and PennERA is a plus, but not required. Training will be provided.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Candidate must have strong analytic, verbal, and written communication skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality is required.
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and work effectively with a variety of people.
Excellent organizational skills required.
Ability to work independently, establish priorities, and set/meet deadlines.
Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously in a complex financial and administrative environment.
