The Institute on Aging's (IOA) mission is to promote, through excellence in research, education, service, and practice, the health and wellbeing of the rapidly expanding aging population in the local community, state of Wisconsin and society at large.
The position requires excellent fiscal and communication skills, the ability to deal with administration of complex, multicomponent grants, excellent problem solving abilities, and the ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities efficiently. This position also serves as a purchasing card holder. This position independently serves as the purchasing and travel (both domestic and foreign) expert for our large, multi-center Midlife in the U.S. (MIDUS) grant; and is responsible for purchasing, travel processing, expense reimbursement, auditing, and reconciling of related activities. This includes educating employees on purchasing and travel related matters and ensuring compliance with School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH), Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Education (OVCRGE), University, and State policies and procedures. Work is performed under the general supervision of the IOA Administrator.
Monday through Friday, "standard business hours" (There is some flexibility when setting your schedule.)
