Perform duties and responsibilities to maintain buildings and components including, but not limited to heating, cooling, plumbing, carpentry/painting and minor building repairs. Access information using appropriate desktop applications. Promote a safe work environment and aid in maintaining a high level of building cleanliness, maintenance and operations. May operate a University vehicle. This position reports to a Utilities Trades Supervisor and requires active engagement in learning and practicing principles of social justice and inclusion, environmental sustainability and delivering great customer service experience.
Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
High school diploma and three years' experience in building maintenance field i.e. building components such as heating, cooling, plumbing systems, carpentry and painting, or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Basic computer skills required. Valid driver's license or ability to obtain and driver's check may be required. Specific physical requirements may apply based on job functions. Initial employment contingent upon successful completion of physical screening. May be required to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing specific job tasks.
