The Florida Center for Reading Research
The observer will attend trainings and meet reliability with using the project observation tool. Observers will conduct literacy-focused observations in participating 5th grade classrooms on a daily basis and will facilitate communication between the participating teachers and the site coordinator.
Associate's degree or in the process of working on Bachelor’s degree.
Experience working in an educational setting.
Teaching or tutoring experience with elementary school students.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal skills.
Experience using fillable PDFs and Excel.
On a daily basis the observers will travel to one or more participating Hillsborough County Public Schools to conduct classroom observations.

Anticipated Salary Range
This is an OPS/temporary Job.
Soft Money Funded Position
This position is time-limited based on soft money funding, with renewal contingent upon available funds and the needs of the University.
Approximately 35 hours per week, Monday – Friday, to match school schedules. The duration of the position will be from approximately August 2018 through March 2019.
Criminal Background Check
This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check, to include fingerprinting. The background check will be conducted as authorized and in accordance with University Policy 4-OP-C-7-B11.
