The Marketing Coordinator works collaboratively with the staff in CCES to promote Miami University to employers and advertise services and events to students. The position provides graphic design, website maintenance and works with the Director of Operations and Communications on publication creation and communications to various constituents. Assists with social media content and strategy.
Identifies develops and promotes marketing and communication initiatives that will enhance the awareness and effectiveness of the Career Center, advance mutually beneficial partnerships between employers, students and faculty? improve student career exploration and development and increase opportunities for student internships. Works with Marketing and Communications team to provide holistic and multi-media methods to support the needs of the office.
Assist in the development of marketing strategies, tactics and messages to key audiences including new targeted employers and existing employer partners, students and faculty. Strategies include social media, publications (print and electronic) for key events and services to all constituencies.
Develop, implement and maintain varied social media strategy focused on internal and external constituents including students, alumni, employers and parents.
Responsible for creative design, planning and timely implementation of approved externally directed marketing communications messages and programs through various media, collateral, publication production and multimedia.
Maintains and performs timely website updates, (typically within 1 to 2 days) gives top priority to all website updates. Evaluates emerging web-based technologies for website incorporation and presents findings to direct supervisor/leadership team. Actively supports website redevelopment projects.
Assist in the coordination of office-wide special events, programs, workshops, and career fairs, and other events as needed. Other duties as assigned.
Associate's degree and 1-3 years of experience in graphic design, marketing, communications or related field.
Proven ability to work as a team.
In depth knowledge of graphic design software.
Knowledge of website trends and best practices.
