Coordinator of Student Services, Bronx Campus
Metropolitan College of New York, a non-profit, regionally accredited college offering associate, bachelor's and master's degrees, and located in the Bronx and lower Manhattan, seeks a Coordinator of Student Services for its Bronx Campus. The Coordinator will be responsible for the developing strategies, planning, implementing, and monitoring activities that support student retention, registration, and academic advisement for the campus. The Coordinator will implement programs to promote student success and enrich student life; provide ongoing case management to support academic success and retention strategies; and serve on college-wide and Bronx specific committees as required. Qualifications include a Master’s degree in Higher Education, Student Development or related field with a minimum of 5 years of higher education experience and solid understanding of academic service administration; experience in conflict mediation and understanding of student conduct issues; excellent analytical and effective communication skills; sound decision making abilities; and a results-oriented, positive approach to problem solving. Experience with a diverse student population and adult learners desired. Must be Microsoft Office proficient and have knowledge of Power Campus or similar information system. Some evening and weekend hours will be required.
