Job description

Duties: Reporting to the Deputy Vice Dean of the Graduate division, the Director of Admissions is responsible for the overall vision and effectiveness of the Admissions team building the Wharton MBA class. The Director plays a central role in creating the comprehensive strategy aimed at attracting, selecting and matriculating the highest possible caliber of multi-dimensionally diverse students. A highly collaborative position, the work of assessing market conditions and creating strategic recruiting plans; presenting and marketing the programs and the school to prospective students internationally and domestically is critical to the success of the MBA Program.

Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree is required, Masters Degree preferred and 7 years to 10 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strategic thinker with excellent communication skills. An ability to work with various stakeholders including students, prospective students, senior alumni, administrators, the press and corporate representatives. A knowledge of MBA admissions and admission trends and an ability to manage the technology of admissions. Strong and inspirational team leader ready to represent Wharton to both an internal and external audience.
