Job description

This position is responsible for assisting with the management of two large laboratory-based courses per semester in Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental Biology. Daily activities include preparation of materials and set up for student experiments, maintenance of apparatus and instruments, compliance with safety protocols and proper chemical waste disposal, assisting graduate teaching assistants and faculty, and administrative duties related to student academics. Position is mainly Monday-Friday 9-5 pm, however, evenings or weekends may be required depending on the needs of the courses. This is a 12-month position.

Salary Range is $28,000 - $32,000 annually depending on experience


Two years of laboratory experience related to the work assigned to the position. Additional appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. A Bachelors degree in molecular or cell biology or closely related field. Preferred experience with research-based undergraduate laboratory courses.
