Job Summary

The Skidmore College Department of Mathematics and Statistics seeks a qualified full-time visiting assistant professor or lecturer of mathematics and statistics for the 2018-2019 academic year. Duties include teaching five to six courses per year plus office hours and light departmental service. Courses will include introductory and/or advanced statistics and core undergraduate mathematics topics. We seek candidates who will contribute to our ongoing efforts to engage and support students from diverse backgrounds.

Skidmore College is a liberal arts institution located in upstate New York with approximately 300 full time faculty and 2,500 students, of whom 23% are domestic students of color, 14% are first generation college students, and 11% are from outside of the United States. Minimum Qualifications

MA or MS in Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field

Preferred Qualifications

PhD in Mathematics or Statistics, Statistics teaching experience
