Position Summary:

Incumbent assists direct patient care providers with safe patient handling, (to include lifting, positioning, transferring, and transporting), throughout the Medical Center. Will be responsible for promoting an environment of safe patient handling which provides for the safety of our patients while maintaining a safe work environment for the patient care providers. Provides direct patient care as well as education and training for health care providers in the appropriate use of lift techniques and transfer equipment. Additionally, incumbent will track, deliver, clean, and perform basic repair of equipment & supplies. May be occasionally responsible for dispatch duties.

Salary Range:

Rate Minimum $17.79 Midpoint $19.53 Maximum $21.27

Required Qualifications:

Current BLS certification required by time of hire

Minimum six months experience in a healthcare environment or training in a healthcare/emergency/rescue field

Must be available to work overtime as patient care needs demand

Skill to perform basic mathematical computations, and to use general office equipment including computers, copiers, and calculators
