Job Description

The Grant Administrator II, under general supervision, provides support for proposal initiation and for post-award administrative paperwork leading to account establishment. Assists with sub agreements and reviews budget submissions before final approval. Acts as liaison with compliance committees and program officers.

Responsibilities:
  • Assists the faculty and research or agency administration staff with budget questions, expenditure projections, and pre and post award concerns.
  • Reviews proposals in the pre-award process for accuracy, completeness, and institutional compliance.
  • Assists in the electronic submission of proposals and acceptance of awards as well as the development of subcontracts.
  • Works directly with compliance committees to ensure grants requirements have been met before accounts are opened.
  • Works with Finance to reconcile each grant account quarterly and provide quarterly reports to Investigators.
  • Updates and maintains Maestro databases and departmental files.

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business and five years of related experience.


KSAs:
  • Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
  • Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.


Preferred:
  • Federal Grants Management Certification or Certified Grants Management Specialist Certification.
