Under the direction of the Chief Business Officer for Academic Affairs, the Fiscal Project Manager will assist with and manage financial projects as assigned.
Project Management: 50% - Essential
Manage and execute complex financial projects within academic affairs. Work collaboratively with academic leadership, budget offices, and other stakeholders to achieve successful completion; Communicate across involved areas through a variety of platforms; Provide required updates and status reports on project progress; Partner with IT and system experts to provide solutions within the scope of each project.
Analysis: 25% - Essential
Provide in-depth analysis and reports utilizing PeopleSoft/Clemson University Business Systems (CUBS) and Banner, and other software tools as required. Communicate analysis verbally and through various enterprise software solutions such as Excel, Power Point, and Access Database.
Budget Management: 25% - Essential
Participates in budgeting activities required within assigned projects. Record, track, and report budget information for Academic Affairs. Provide on-going follow up with colleges and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate utilization of identified funds.
A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business or related field and professional experience directly related, such as accounting, auditing, finance or commercial lending.
Firm Job Knowledge - Firm working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures and ability to use in varied situations
No Supervisory Duties - Not responsible for supervising employees.
Develops Department Budgets - Responsible for developing one or more departmental budget(s). Estimated amount of budgetary responsibility in dollar amount must be added.
Master's Degree in accounting, finance or related field; Experience in higher education field.
Standard Hrs: 37.5; Band: 06; $50,000 - $60,000
Full-time, temporary time-limited position
Employees who are in time limited positions will earn one and one-quarter days of Annual and Sick Leave per month for a total of thirty (30) days per year. Eligible part-timers will earn days on a pro rata basis.
