Lecturer in Graphic Design/Introductory Web Design
The Graphic Design program seeks a lecturer to teach Web Design I, a required course for Graphic Design majors. The course covers how to build websites using HTML and CSS as well as how sitemaps, wireframes, and visual designs are used in the process of creating a website. Students gain knowledge about usability issues for website design as well as an understanding of interaction design and how it differs from print media.
Part lecture, mainly studio, the Web Design I meets Tuesday and Thursday from 5-7:30pm for the duration of the Fall 2018 semester.
The candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in a graphic design related field. Teaching experience is preferred. A Master’s degree is a plus. The candidate should have significant professional experience in the design and implementation of websites. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate excellent communication skills and have a strong commitment to working as part of a collaborative team.
