Advertised Job Summary: The Financial Aid Counselor/Funds Coordinator position serves as a key member of the Financial Aid and Enrollment Management teams in order to provide customer-focused service to all clients of the university, both on and off campus. This position provides individual counseling, accurately performs a high degree of sensitive data entry, and assists with outreach activities to various populations. Specifically, this position maintains a student/family aid counseling load and is responsible for working with the financial aid director to provide ongoing reconciliation for all federal and state student aid programs. Reporting to the Director of Financial Aid, this position is critical in helping to execute innovative ideas/programs/services to grow university enrollment. All efforts of this position are to be viewed as enrollment enhancement activities. Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and 1 year related experience in a student services field (ideally in financial aid). Professional experience in university financial aid and knowledge of Federal Title IV program regulations preferred. Familiarity with enterprise systems such as Banner, and literacy with MS office and PC applications is preferred. Women and minorities are encouraged to apply. USCA is an AA/EOE.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions): Bachelor's degree and 1 year related experience in a student services field.
