The University of Kentucky Clinical Research Support Office (CRSO) is currently seeking an Information Technology Trainer Senior for the On Core Clinical Trial Management System (CTMS). Preferred candidates will have experience working with clinical trial management systems, in particular Forte's OnCore application. This key position coordinates CTMS end user training, develops training content and materials, and delivers training via multiple delivery modes including web conference, e-learning, classroom, and blended solutions utilizing a variety of instructional techniques. The top candidate for this position will demonstrate an understanding of the interdependencies between software systems to guide training, understand requirements involved in human subject research, possess strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and strong customer service orientation. This position must work independently and with teams.

Physical Requirements

Ability to sit for long periods of time utilizng mouse, keyboard, computer and telephone. Ability to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lbs.


Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm with occasional early or late meetings required.


Proficient in Microsoft Office products; preferred experience with electronic health record systems and clinical trial management systems.

Does this position have supervisory responsibilities?

Preferred Education/Experience

Experience working with web-based applications/information systems in healthcare, finance, or another highly-regulated environment. Preferred experience working in a clinical research setting. Bachelor's in clinical research, science, health sciences, information technology, business or related field.

Research certification preferred within 3 years of hire.
