The College of Pharmacy Office of Academic and Student Affairs invites applications for our open position of Pharmacy Program Coordinator.

This position is responsible for independently and strategically developing, implementing, and assessing a national recruitment plan (on-site and digital marketing) to increase professional PharmD applicants to the #6 nationally-ranked UK College of Pharmacy.

The position will develop relationships with students, parents, and guidance counselors from across the nation through campus visits and college events in a fast-paced environment.

The position will research and implement best recruitment practices to increase diversity and underrepresented minorities within the profession. The position will assist in the pre-pharmacy advising program with focus on students from nationwide colleges/universities.

The position is responsible for independently developing, planning, and assessing multiple large-scale recruitment events throughout the year while prioritizing many responsibilities.

The position will focus on best practices for the use of social media in recruitment. The position will review files for applicant consideration, and manage all recruitment scholarships.

The position oversees K-12 outreach efforts by managing summer programming/hands-on activities. The position will require night and weekend events, as needed. Travel is expected 25-55%.

Physical Requirements

Long periods of sitting and/or standing. Lifting objects up to 50 lbs. Travel 25%.


Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., nights and weekends as workload requires.

Preferred Education/Experience

Master's Degree plus 3 years of program development, admissions file reviews, professional student recruitment, and strategic planning.
