The Department of Radiology at the University of Vermont Medical Center in affiliation with The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at the University of Vermont is seeking a interventional neuroradiologist.

Ours is an academic practice of 40 full and part-time radiologists who serve as the clinical faculty for a 24 member ACGME-approved Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program at the University of Vermont.

The University of Vermont Medical Center is the only tertiary referral center for the catchment area of Vermont and Northern upstate New York and is in process to become a Comprehensive Stroke Center. The department and section are part of the larger University of Vermont Health Network in Northern Vermont and New York; comprising 6 smaller hospitals in addition to the University of Vermont Medical Center.

The Division of Neuroradiology is currently composed of 5 FTE diagnostic neuroradiologists and 2.0 FTE neurointerventional radiologists who share in the diagnostic neuroimaging call pool. There are ACGME-approved neuroradiology and interventional fellowships. Facilities are state-of-the-art with a Phillips Allura biplane using Claritiy dose reduction. MR includes a 3.0 Tesla magnet and three 1.5 Tesla magnets. CT facilities include a 256-slice scanner located in the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include daily medical student, resident and fellow teaching and transdisciplinary conferences with neurosurgery, neurology, pathology and neuro-oncology. NIR call is 1:3 shared with an endovascular neurologist. Opportunities for protected time for scholarly activity are offered. A 3.0 Tesla dedicated research scanner operated by the University of Vermont MRI Center for Biomedical Imaging is housed in the Radiology Department and staffed full time by experienced research technologists as well as two MR physicists.

This is a Clinical Scholar Pathway full-time position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Applicants must have completed an interventional neuroradiology fellowship and must be ABR certified or eligible and neuroradiology CAQ certified or eligible. The position is 1.0 FTE interventional neuroradiology with occasional neuroradiology imaging responsibilities. There is an opportunity for departmental leadership for the appropriately qualified individual.

The compensation package is competitive and faculty rank is commensurate with experience.
