Posting Summary

Perform laboratory and technical functions in support of a University immunology of reproductive laboratory focused on maternal and neonatal immunity. Perform experimental mouse breeding, bleeding, tail snipping, euthanasia, and isolation of tissues.

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)

Bachelor's Degree in related science and one year experience with experimental breeding, handling and typing of mice, euthanasia, and isolation of tissues required. Proficiency with spreadsheet and graphic software applications required. Knowledge of Biosafety Level 2 practices are required.

Desirable Qualifications

Organizational skills and detail-orientation desired. Effective written and communication skills are desired. Experience with basic immune assays desired.

A probationary period may be required, Contingent on continued funding, Occasional overtime/weekend hours required, External candidates must complete a 4-month probationary period, A probationary period may be required for current UVM employees, 50% of full time
