Assistant Director of Admissions
This position is responsible for administration and coordination of functions within the Office of Undergraduate Admissions. This position serves as the primary point of contact for lead development, marketing, and campus visit programs. It also supports admissions and recruitment efforts by managing the prospect software and communicating with prospective students.
Positions require a Bachelor’s degree and three (3) years of professional work experience in student services or related education/experience. Experience leading or directing the work of others. A Master’s degree in a related field may substitute for one (1) year of professional work experience. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a year‐for‐year basis.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills;
Knowledge of student recruitment and college admissions;
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and prospect software (CRM);
Demonstrated experience interpreting and applying laws, rules, policies and procedures;
Demonstrated experience leading a team;
Ability to travel and to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
Master’s degree in a relevant field;
Knowledge of admissions procedures, academic programs, financial aid and scholarships, and a broad base of knowledge regarding Washington State University;
Experience in strategic planning, formulation, design, implementation and tracking;
Proficiency with content management system (e.g., WordPress);
Proficiency with Web usability, search engine optimization, and Web analytics
