NYU's Stern School of Business has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Director of Operations. The Assistant Director will support and advise the Chief Operating Officer in the overall management of projects related to the operations at Stern. The selected candidate will manage the development and execution of Stern's integration related and building, systems and ad hoc projects. S/he will gather and analyze the needs of end users and serve as a liaison between business managers and key departments. S/he will manage all aspects of approved project planning life cycle, including scope definition, functional requirements gathering, analysis, testing, training and communication. The Assistant Director will proactively communicate and collaborate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to analyze information gathered. S/he will participate with the department team in all activities supporting department pursuits, such as managing NYU Stern's Salesforce.com implementation. Through strong analytical and project management skills, s/he will develop a thorough understanding of Stern's operational process needs with the goal of driving constant improvement.

The selected candidate will have a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant professional level experience or the equivalent combination. S/he must have experience in developing new and improved ways to conduct traditional business activities by contributing creative ideas that leverage knowledge, expertise and experience. Excellent business and technical writing skills are essential. Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills are required. The selected candidate must have proven project management skills.
