Degree and Area of Specialization:

Bachelor's degree required



Minimum number of years and type of relevant work experience:

*Minimum of 3 years of experience in higher education content and social media strategy
*Demonstrated writing skills, including the ability to write for interactive UX
Proficient in WordPress, Google Keyword Planner, Google Analytics, Yoast and other search engine optimization (SEO) tools
*Demonstrated experience and success working in the intersection of digital marketing, web, CRM, and marketing automation



License or certificate:

Certifications or demonstrated experience with Google analytics and inbound marketing



Position Summary:

This position is responsible for researching, developing, implementing, and evaluating an integrated content and social media plan to support marketing, communication, and advancement goals. You will work across a diverse portfolio of academic programs within UW-Madison's School of Education to create a vision and execution of user-driven content and social media strategy. The content and social media marketing plan is a subset of a larger integrated marketing plan that is developed collaboratively to meet desired goals.

As part of the Communications and Advancement team for the School of Education, this position will work closely with various members of the team and partners across the School. The team is responsible for communication, marketing, alumni relations, and development work that advances and support the School's priorities. This position reports to the Marketing Manager.
