Salary Range: $3,115.00- $3,570.67 per month

Note: This position includes full benefits. This is a full-time, non-exempt position. Athletic Corporation employees are at-will.

Overview:

Under direction of the Senior Associate Athletics Director for Sport Services/SWA and the Head Football Coach, incumbent provides a full range of clerical and technical support to individuals within the Football area within the Athletic Department, to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of correspondence and materials, to support and assist Football, and to positively promote the Fresno State athletic program to other institutions and the public.

Position Summary:

	
  • Provide high-level support to the Head Football Coach in all areas, including day-to-day operations, scheduling, internal and external communication, office management, and administration
  • 	
  • Provide a full range of clerical and technical support to Head Football Coach, Coordinators, Assistant Coaches, Assistant Athletic Director of Football Operations, and the Football program as assigned
  • 	
  • Maintain calendar(s) for the Head Football Coach and individuals/programs to whom specifically assigned
  • 	
  • Establish priorities on projects from multiple task-givers utilizing initiative, independent judgment and discretion
  • 	
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality on all aspects of the position relating to student-athletes and other relevant information
  • 	
  • Prepare Business Office documents including travel advances, reconciling travel, expenses, and reimbursements for the Head Football Coach
  • 	
  • Accept and screen incoming calls and visitors for the individuals/programs to whom specifically assigned
  • 	
  • Maintain Head Football Coach's personal and professional contacts
  • 	
  • Coordinate and plan all football functions and events
  • 	
  • Plan and facilitate all VIP, donor, and guest appointments
  • 	
  • Assist Head Football Coach with correspondence, distribution, replies, and filings
  • 	
  • Coordinate all personal appearances and off-season engagements for Head Football Coach.
  • 	
  • Prepare all logistics and scheduling arrangements for Head Football Coach's travel, including recruiting and convention trips
  • 	
  • Utilize an excellent grasp of the English language and proper business correspondence methods, independently prepare and/or edit correspondence and written materials to individuals and organizations as required
  • 	
  • Assure that operations are conducted in compliance with NCAA, Conference and University rules and policies
  • 	
  • Correspond, prepare, disseminate and maintain schedules
  • 	
  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive databases on student-athletes and their parents
  • 	
  • Prepare and disseminate recruiting materials
  • 	
  • Prepare packets for team/staff meetings and Football functions
  • 	
  • Periodically prepare and send mailings to mailing lists
  • 	
  • Complete special projects as assigned by the Head Football Coach
  • 	
  • Administrative support duties of a general office nature will also be assigned.
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

    	
  • Thorough knowledge of office procedures, methods and practices
  • 	
  • Knowledge of office machines and computer software, including Microsoft Office, electronic mail, electronic business forms and the internet
  • 	
  • Thorough knowledge of English grammar, punctuation and spelling, and the ability to draft accurate, professional business correspondence
  • 	
  • Demonstrated competence in understanding, interpreting and communicating procedures, policies, information, ideas and instructions
  • 	
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Excellent organizational skills and detail-oriented

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum of four (4) years experience in a progressively responsible clerical support position
