We are seeking a part-time, non benefit-eligible prep cook position to work during the academic-year (off during the summer months) in Ruth’s Marketplace. The hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Ruth’s Marketplace is our largest dining venue on campus and serves over 2,200 meals per day to students, faculty and staff.
This position is responsible for all aspects of our homemade pizza at the Amore station. This includes preparing up to 50 pizzas per meal period, cooking the pizzas in a large pizza oven, keeping pizzas stocked during peak meal periods and ensuring quality control. There will also be some assistance given at other stations within the dining hall that includes preparation of food, cooking, and clean-up/sanitation.
The preferred candidate will possess a high school diploma, strong communication skills and the ability to work independently. Previous kitchen experience is desirable, but not required.
