Health Care Training Program Manager
The Health Care Training Program Manager provides oversight and management of daily activities of Temple University Harrisburg's health care training programs. The goals of these programs are to ensure professionals in the field of health care, including long-term care are given training, consultation and evaluation to develop skills and abilities to provide quality care.
The Manager's role will include providing and overseeing curriculum and product development, classroom and E-Learning program evaluation of quality standards, monitoring of reporting, and supervision of program staff and trainers. Programs and focus areas include but are not limited to community health work, adolescent sexual health, long-term care administration and medication administration. Additionally, the Manager is responsible for generating new fee for service programs, grants and contracts that sustain and expand the unit. This position is integral to organizational collaboration and in satisfying both internal and external stakeholders including communicating with professionals and provider agencies; funding sources; community organizations and advocacy groups; and internal program professional and training staff. The Manager will supervise all staff of the Health Care training program unit. The position requires overnight travel. Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree and at least four (4) years of experience working in health care and supervising professional staff. Experience in social work, nursing, public health, administration or project management working with programs or individuals to meet physical health and/or mental health needs. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Required Skills and Abilities:
*Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and related software applications.
*Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports.
*Excellent oral and written communication skills.
*Ability to organize resources and establish priorities.
*Ability to analyze and solve problems.
*Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
*Ability to travel. Preferred:
