Position Summary: This position is a leadership role in the Department of Housing and Residential Education, providing strategic vision and leadership related to technology in the department. Responsibilities include: - Manages 3 full-time employees and 50 student employees - Provides on-site residential support, oversees technology and technology support for the Housing Department. This includes 600 employees in the department spread across 50 buildings on campus. - Manages complex projects impacting over 8500 individuals on campus. Coordinates with outside groups to complete these projects in a timely, efficient and cost-effective manner. - Oversees the operational budget. Provides budget forecasting and researches new technology solutions. - Oversees complex IT systems and custom-coded applications in support of the Housing Department. Increasingly called into meetings to provide strategic guidance or consulting for other IT groups on campus.

Education Requirements: -Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Math, Engineering or other related technical degree from an appropriately accredited institution and four years progressive experience in the field of information technology; or - Bachelor's degree from an appropriately accredited institution and five years progressive experience in the field of information technology; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. -Bachelor's Degree preferred.

Qualification and Experience: Required Experience: - Demonstrated IT experience - Demonstrated Leadership - Demonstrated Project Management experience - Demonstrated Customer Support Experience - Strong analytical skills - Experience in a higher education environment - Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills Preferred Experience: - Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, or other related area - 5+ years IT Experience - 3+ years Customer Support - 3+ years IT Management experience including student worker supervision and performance management - Experience leading a technical support team in an academic setting - Knowledge of a work log ticketing system such as Remedy/ServiceNow - Experience working with student housing and residential networks in a university setting - Ability to anticipate the technology needs of students in residence halls and proactively address those
