Job Summary

This Faculty member teaches Diagnostic Medical Sonography courses.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Teaches courses in lecture, laboratory, and/or clinical settings
  • Evaluates and advises students
  • Develops curricula
  • Recruits and participates in retention of students
  • Serves on committees
  • Participates in departmental and College affairs
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Masters degree and 18 graduate semester hours in a health science discipline (e.g. Radiography, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Therapy). Valid registration as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer through the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
  • All educational degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer in Abdomen, OB/GYN, Neurosonography, or Registered Diagnostic Adult Cardiac Sonographer
  • Possess excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Possess basic computer skills
  • Ability to travel between campuses, clinical sites, and off-campus offering sites
  • Ability to work well with students and colleagues in a multi-ethnic/multi-cultural community
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings and weekend assignments
