Position Summary: The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the pre-award manager for Department of Environmental Sciences and Engineering (463001), oversee the pre-award process for the Water Institute (463002), Center on Financial Risk in Environmental Systems (463004), and the Institute of Global Environmental Health Solutions (463003), with the ultimate responsibility for all proposal processing and interactions with the University's Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) regarding proposal development, submittal, and pre-award contract discussions. The individual in this position will have a strong working knowledge of all administrative aspects of the Department and supervise and/or oversee two additional pre-award employees. She/he will centralize the pre-award team under this incumbency guidance and supervision for the submission process of about 35 to 40 proposals per year. Expertise is expected to include a larger variety of sponsors from Federal, State, Non-Profit, International, Private, Foundation and International agencies. This incumbent takes the leadership to establish consistent internal working processes, SOPs, streamline communications with OSR, Conflict of Interest Office, Technology Transfer Office, IRB, IACUC.

Education Requirements:

Qualification and Experience: Bachelor's degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.
