RESEARCH SPECIALIST A
Duties: Perform multiple research procedures and experiments in a lab focused on deciphering how cells segregate their chromosomes during cell division. Perform experiments utilizing advanced single molecule microscopy techniques. Analyze data using scientific software packages. Prepare written reports and maintain lab notebooks. Present reports at lab meetings. Prepare solutions, reagents, and media. Ensure lab equipment is properly maintained and serviced. Order and organize laboratory supplies. Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree in biology, chemistry or molecular biology, or related field and 0 to 1 year of lab experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required. Experience with cellular and molecular biology techniques is strongly preferred. Must have strong organizational skills, good written and oral communication skills, and work with other lab members; ability to coordinate several projects concurrently is essential.
