Concordia University Irvine seeks well-qualified applicants for the position of Associate or Assistant Provost. This position works closely the Provost and Executive Vice President in providing strategic and visionary leadership for all academic operations of the university. Candidates must possess an earned doctorate, have at least three years' experience in higher education administration, and must understand and support a Christian liberal arts approach to higher education.
The Associate or Assistant Provost will work as part of an academic leadership team that includes the Provost and the deans of the university's five schools, focused on academic planning, leadership, and new program development. The Office of the Provost supervises academic advising, tutoring and academic support, career services, institutional research, the university library, the Institutional Review Board, the Office of Innovative Instruction and E-Learning, and the Office of the Registrar; it also provides key support in the areas of assessment, accreditation, and academic policies. The Associate or Assistant Provost will serve as direct supervisor for several of the offices and/or functions listed above, depending on the professional experience, skills, and interests of the successful candidate.
