Dept. of Criminal Justice, Instructor/Assistant Professor (Full-time, Temporary, 1 Year)
Department Summary: Bridgewater State University's Department of Criminal Justice invites applications for a full-time position to begin Spring 2019. A growing, dynamic, interdisciplinary department with a strong focus on social justice in both theory and practice seeks qualified and committed faculty who are enthusiastic teachers dedicated to working with undergraduate and graduate students. The department strives to advance the success of all students, community partnerships and social justice.
Essential Duties: Applicants should possess: - Ability to effectively teach cybersecurity and cybercrime investigation related undergraduate and graduate courses - Ability to use cybersecurity technology (VM Ware, Digital Forensic/ Network Forensic Tools, etc.) effectively in teaching and learning. - Strong commitment to excellence in teaching and to working in a multicultural environment that fosters inclusion - Provide quality teaching including related preparation and grading. - Provide class syllabi to students enrolled in classes and to the department office as requested. - Perform other related duties as assigned and/or required. Courses may be offered on the main campus in Bridgewater or at satellite campuses in Attleboro and on Cape Cod.
Required Qualifications: Master Degree or Ph.D. in cybersecurity and its related extensive field experience are required.
Preferred Qualifications: This position seeks an applicant who can teach a variety of cybersecurity and cybercrime investigation courses in the undergraduate and graduate programs. Among the courses to be taught are Introduction to cybercrime, introduction to cybersecurity, cybercrime forensic investigation, window forensic investigation, and mobile forensic investigation.
