Position Summary

This position is jointly sponsored by Dr. Weiming Li laboratory in the Department of Fisheries and Wildlife and Dr. Richard Neubig laboratory in the department of Pharmacology and Toxicology.  We seek an associate to carry out research on sea lamprey pheromone receptors and search for antagonists.  A Ph. D in Biology is required.  The applicant should have solid knowledge in lamprey biology, strong background in lamprey pheromone communication, and demonstrated skills in pheromone receptor research.  Required skills: receptor cloning and expression, site directed mutagenesis, experience in high-throughput methods for compound testing, and understanding of quantitative analysis of agonist and antagonist interactions.  Experience working with pharmacologists, chemists and behavioral ecologists to discover and evaluate antagonists is desired.

Required Degree

Doctorate -Biology

Minimum Requirements
