Job description

Presidio Graduate School (PGS), an accredited, private educational institution offering unique programs in sustainability management, seeks an experienced entrepreneur and savvy organizational builder to serve as its next President. At the forefront of innovation, PGS prepares students to think and lead differently by offering first of its kind MBA, MPA, and certificate programs that truly integrate sustainable management and social responsibility in every dimension of the educational experience. With a burning desire to change the world for the good, PGS develops leaders interested in creating business and management solutions with real environmental, economic, and social impact. With a highly devoted Board of Directors, a new global partner and investor, and a passionate faculty, staff, students, and alumni, the President will have an extraordinary opportunity to chart a new global path for the institution into the future.

Originally founded in 1993 as Presidio World College, PGS was created on the premise that private enterprise, the public sector, and NGOs, must bridge the gap between commerce and the common good to create meaningful and impactful change in the world. In today’s climate, the need has never been greater for leaders to transcend political, economic, social, environmental, and cultural lines to create sustainable solutions. PGS has a fundamental commitment to creating positive impact with a focus upon ecological and social sustainability, helping to find the links between business and social enterprise. The institution cultivates leaders who design, lead, influence, and evolve organizations for a more just and lasting future. With the recent acquisition of Pinchot University and the upcoming change in control agreement with Amity Education Group, a top ranked non-profit university in India, the President will help leverage the educational expertise and resources of all institutions, with the goal of developing a rich academic experience and bold growth strategy with the larger Amity Education Group, and potentially other academic institutions, in the years to come.

To fulfill these ambitions, the President will address several opportunities and challenges:

  • In collaboration with Amity and the PGS community, establish a new shared identity and inspirational vision for the future;
  • Further enhance academic excellence;
  • Develop a sustainable financial model and enrollment strategy;
  • Invest in operational infrastructure and ensure a cohesive, highly functioning organization;
  • Further position PGS as a thought leader at the nexus of innovation in global, sustainable education.
