Student Wellness Services

Student Wellness Services is seeking a Part-time Health Promotion Coordinator. Duties include: as directed, develops, implements, and evaluates health education and wellness programs for students; collaborates with other staff in the unit and those in related units on campus in program development and delivery; provides outreach through individual and group consultation on health and wellness topics, including stress management, alcohol and other drug education, sleep, sexual health, and healthy relationships; and participates in broader division and university activities as appropriate. This position is eligible for overtime.

Bachelor's degree in Health Promotion, Public Health, Community Health, Communication Studies or related field; at least one year of experience in health promotion directed toward college students; knowledge of current and emerging college health issues; commitment to diversity and inclusion; and effective communication skills, including oral, written, and presentation required. Student experience will be considered. Some evening and weekend hours will be necessary. Master’s degree in Health, Post-Secondary Education Student Affairs or Communication; familiarity with motivational interviewing strategies; organizational and leadership experience and knowledge of effective marketing strategies, particularly using social media; and health promotion experience in an university setting preferred.  Criminal and other relevant background checks required.
