Description of primary duties and responsibilities:
Fayetteville State University College of Business and Economics (CBE) seeks an individual to teach high demand management information systems (MIS) skills to undergraduate business and MBA students, as a member of the CBE's MIS faculty team. This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track position, beginning Fall, 2018.

The successful candidate will be expected to:
- teach management information systems and related courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels
- help prepare students for professional certification exams
- serve as academic mentor for undergraduate students
- conduct research leading to peer reviewed publications
- assist with other responsibilities as may be assigned.

Description of Work Continued:
Fayetteville State University (FSU) is a constituent of the University of North Carolina system. The College of Business and Economics is accredited by AACSB International and the faculty is ranked among the top 100 business schools by SSRN. The CBE's unique MBA program, which offers distance learning as well as traditional classroom options, has been designated one of the top 100 online graduate business programs by U.S. News and World Report, the Affordable Colleges Foundation, and others. The CBE has also been consistently listed as one of the top graduate business programs in the country by the Princeton Review. The College serves approximately 1000 business students through ten undergraduate business degree programs, and several graduate programs (including professional certificates as well as an MBA).

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
A Ph.D. degree in Management Information Systems or a related field is required, preferably from an AACSB accredited school.
Working knowledge of major database platforms, commitment to teaching
excellence, responsiveness to student needs, and good communication
skills are all essential.

Knowledge skills and abilities:
Teaching and instruction for groups of individuals; ability to communicate
effectively, orally and in writing with peers and students; ability to work
effectively and productively with others; time management skills, and ability to
work with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications:
Preferred qualifications include: Prior experience in applying MIS tools, experience teaching MIS, experience in teaching diverse students, experience teaching online as well as face-to-face.
