The Fletcher School is the United States’ first professional graduate school of international affairs. The Institute for Business in the Global Context (IBGC) addresses a range of global issues affecting multinational corporations, rising national enterprises, NGOs, banks and financial institutions, and consulting and academic institutions. The IBGC offers programming including education, custom research, and conferences and speakers. Specific content areas of focus include Emerging Markets, Inclusive Growth, and Innovation & Change. The 2-year Master of International Business (MIB) is part of the IBGC’s education portfolio.

Under minimal supervision, the Administrative Coordinator provides advanced administrative support to senior Fletcher Deans, communications and marketing support, financial and administrative support, and coordination of activities for department. Handles complex and confidential situations and requests. Participates in planning and coordinates conferences, meetings, programs, and special events for department.

The Administrative Coordinator will support all areas of the Institute, with specific oversight and responsibilities for certain projects. In addition to being the primary point of contact for the Institute, the Coordinator serves as a resource for students, faculty, staff, and external parties interested in Fletcher’s business programming. The Coordinator’s main responsibilities fall into four categories: IBGC events and Speaker Series; scheduling and administrative support for the Dean; and general program support and office management.


Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
  • High school diploma/GED and 5+ years of administrative experience OR a Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite including word processing, editing and graphics functions, spreadsheet and database knowledge.
  • Bookkeeping or basic accounting knowledge and excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • An interest in international relations or international business is preferred.

Special Work Schedule Requirements:
Occasional evening and weekend work required. Ability to balance multiple simultaneous priorities with professionalism required.
